Our client is seeking dependable and hardworking Temporary Laborers to assist with an apartment renovation project. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity offering 32.5 hours per week for the duration of the project.

The primary responsibility will be helping completely strip out 11 apartment units, including removing and transporting materials, furnishings, and other items to dumpsters. This is a physically active position that requires heavy lifting and a willingness to stay busy throughout the workday.

Pay & Schedule:

• $17.00/hour
• Monday–Friday
• 10am-5pm
• Temporary – position will continue until the project is completed

Position Overview

As a Temporary Laborer, you will work alongside the project crew to clear out apartment units in preparation for renovation. You’ll be responsible for removing items and materials from the apartments and transporting them to designated dumpsters.

While this position involves significant physical activity and heavy lifting, carts and elevators will be available to assist with moving materials throughout the building.

The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the project moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with stripping and clearing out 11 apartment units
• Remove furnishings, materials, debris, and other items from apartments
• Transport removed materials to designated dumpsters
• Utilize carts and elevators to safely move heavier or bulky items
• Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
• Keep hallways, work areas, and pathways clear and organized
• Assist other crew members with demolition and cleanup tasks as needed
• Follow instructions from supervisors and project leads
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Follow all job-site safety procedures
• Complete additional general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous construction, demolition, moving, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
• Must be comfortable performing heavy lifting
• Ability to remain physically active throughout an 8-hour shift
• Comfortable performing repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, and moving
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
• Safety-conscious and aware of surroundings when moving heavy or bulky materials
