Welder – Hoyt Lakes, MN – $20–$23/hr DOQ

Our client in Hoyt Lakes is seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced welders who are looking to showcase their skills in a professional environment with competitive pay.

Pay: $20–$23/hr, depending on qualifications and experience
Location: Hoyt Lakes, MN
Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview:
The Welder will be responsible for setting up equipment, preparing materials, and performing a variety of welding tasks to meet production goals. Candidates should be able to read and interpret prints, follow work orders, and execute high-quality welds with precision and consistency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow verbal instructions, blueprints, or work orders to complete assignments.
• Set up welding equipment and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Perform both MIG and TIG welding, including complex welds.
• Use a variety of hand tools such as grinders, hammers, portable spot welders, screwdrivers, clamps, fixtures, and jigs.
• Read and layout parts to complex prints and plan details of working procedures.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety guidelines.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Lift, push, pull, and manipulate parts up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands for welding and part fitting.
• Stand for extended periods with regular bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
• Required PPE includes safety glasses with side shields, gloves, and hearing protection as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow all safe work practices.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years MIG/TIG welding experience with ability to pass a weld test.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of welding principles and methods.
• Ability to read blueprints, perform layout work, and complete complex welds with accuracy.
• Good math skills, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
