Our client is seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard & Warehouse Associate to join their team. This is a hands-on position combining warehouse and yard work, inventory receiving, customer service, material handling, and occasional local deliveries.

Our client is willing to train the right person, including providing forklift certification. If you’re reliable, comfortable with physical work, and looking for a position where no two days are exactly the same, this could be a great opportunity.

Pay & Schedule:

• $21–$25/hour DOQ
• Full-Time
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 30-minute lunch
• Position will eventually include a rotating Saturday schedule, 8:00 AM–Noon
• On-the-job training provided

Position Overview

As a Yard & Warehouse Associate, you’ll help keep materials moving efficiently from delivery through customer pickup. Your day may include unloading vendor shipments, operating a forklift, cutting materials for customer orders, entering inventory into the computer system, or assisting customers and contractors with pickups.

You’ll also make occasional local deliveries using a company pickup truck and may assist with appliance deliveries and installations in customers’ homes.

This position includes both indoor and outdoor work throughout the year, so candidates should be comfortable working outside in all seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the yard and warehouse
• Operate a forklift to transport and organize inventory
• Operate saws to cut materials to size for customer orders
• Receive and inspect incoming vendor deliveries
• Verify shipments against purchase orders and internal records
• Enter received inventory accurately into the computer system
• Organize and maintain materials throughout the yard and warehouse
• Assist customers and contractors picking up orders
• Safely load customer purchases and materials
• Drive a company pickup truck for small local deliveries
• Assist with appliance deliveries and installations as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow established company procedures and safety practices

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Previous warehouse or forklift experience is not required
• Willingness to learn forklift operation; certification will be provided
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials
• Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all seasons
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform inventory data entry
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to accurately verify shipments and inventory
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work
• Comfortable assisting customers and contractors
• Willingness to learn company systems, products, and processes
• Ability to work the rotating Saturday schedule once implemented
