Temporary Custodian

Pay Rate:
$15.99 Hourly
Our client in Tower is looking for a temporary custodian to help out with the school year with intentions of running through 12/31/2020, at which time it will be reviewed to determine if they will be needed for a longer duration.

Hours may vary
Sweep, mop and dust furniture
Sanitize fixtures and drinking fountains, disinfect toilets and clean shower/locker room floors.
Clean and dispose of chemical spills, and biohazardous waste while utilizing appropriate PPE and following protocols.

Maintains the building and it's premises to be neat, clean, and safe at all times.
This includes mowing grass, tree trimming, shoveling, sanding, and/or plowing driveways, sidewalks, and building entrances.

Follows set guidelines for a standard inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and school equipment for the designated school location and ensures Safety Data Sheets are properly stored following the direction of the Facilities and Grounds Director.
Checks Metasys system and communicates heating and cooling concerns to the Head of Maintenance.
Physical Required: Yes
Drug Testing Required: Yes
Education Required: High School Diploma/GED
Experience Required: 36 Months

Required Skills:
High school diploma
Minimum of 3 years experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or related responsibility
Must complete a back ground check
Must complete a new hire drug test and pre-employment physical
Must be legal to work in the United States
Strong Maintenance & Technical knowledge
Problem solving skills
Ability to work independently
Good communication and relationship skills
Time management & organizational skills

Preferred Skills:
Active 2nd Class Boilers license through Minnesota Department of Labor
5 or more years of experience in janitorial or cleaning services
Direct work experience with school janitorial responsibilities
