Description:
Our client in Staples is looking for a Sales Engineer. You will serve customers by identifying their needs and offering solutions, through regular contact, in person, by phone and virtually. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle, and life cycle of components.

The Sales Engineer will travel approx. 50% of their time to current and prospective customers through the United States and Canada. The Sales Engineer will do some cold calling and prospecting and work within the marketing and sales goals using general guidelines for targeted growth in revenue.

The Sales Engineer will work closely with Customer Service, Quality Assurance and Technical and Engineering Departments for Customers, serving as a primary resource for technical knowledge within the sales process. Based on a detailed understanding of their products, the sales engineer will develop customer relations and assist their customers in selecting the right tools, materials, processes, and available services in support of the customer's demands.

The Sales Engineer's primary responsibilities also include on-boarding of new clients. Working with Project Management in support of customer communications throughout the onboarding process is essential. You will field applications support, and trouble-shooting post-sales inquiries. Customer interaction will be frequent with a variety of customer contact points including, but not limited to Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Receiving.
Requirements:
BS Engineering or Technical Degree with 5-10 years of technical sales experience, or equivalent combination.
